The Danish Agency for Governmental Management engages in the following main activities:
- Preparation of the Danish central government's budget and fiscal accounts and the administration and development of the rules governing the financial management
- Development, specification and implementation of the Danish Ministry of Finance’s initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of administrative processes with special reference to financial management and accountings
- Provision of consultancy and service to public institutions within, for example, grants and loan administration, financial management and streamlining of working processes
- Implementation of cross-government sector digitalisation projects
- Administration of student loans (being repaid) and civil service retirement payments
- Administration of securities owned by the central government, government loans, guarantees and subsidy programmes on behalf of the Ministry of Finance and a number of other ministries
- Operation and development of financial management, ERP and salary system, ie. Navision Stat and Statens Lønsystem
